Sleep rough so that others don’t have to The YMCA Sleep Easy is a national event that takes place at YMCAs all over the country.
What is the YMCA Sleep Easy?
The aim is simple: spend a night challenging yourself to sleep rough, raising money to help change the lives of vulnerable young people. All the money raised goes directly to local YMCA Derbyshire projects, impacting our community and helping disadvantaged young people in Derby and Derbyshire to build a future.
Sleep Easy Impact:
Last year 80 people slept rough. As a result 299 homeless people have been accommodated and supported by YMCA Derbyshire. Many moving on to independent living, training, education and or employment within 12 months. We couldn’t have done this without help!
Who can take part in the event and how do I register?
You can take part if you’re over 18, or in a group with a responsible adult if you’re under 18 – ask us for details. There is a registration fee of £10 for those in full-time employment and £5 for all others.

What else do I need to know?
A cardboard box for use on the night, hot drinks and breakfast will be provided. The venue will be lit all night. Toilets and shelter in case of heavy rain will be available.
